Nina Threets, AAMS© is a registered financial advisor with VALIC Financial Services. She holds her securities licenses that include Series 7, Series 66, as well as a life and health insurance license. Nina specializes in working with business owners and families who strive to have a work-optional lifestyle by executing a solid financial strategy customized to one’s financial goals. She takes a consultative approach to wealth building and strongly believes in good communication and a solid relationship with her clients.
Determination, perseverance, and execution are words put into action in Nina’s book which is why her transition into the finance industry was natural from her professional track career. Graduating with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Louisiana Tech University, Nina was consistently named an All-American with Honors including earning the Today’s Athlete, Tomorrow’s Leader Award and being chose as NCAA Choices Grant Athlete. Nina held an outstanding track and field career with historic records still standing, including reigning multiple Western Athletic Conference Championship titles. Nina was chosen as 2004 Freshman of the Year, 2007 WAC Outstanding Performer, along with being an NCAA Division 1 three-time All-American. She continued to excel and went on professionally to represent the USA at the 2008 Olympic Trials, 2009 U.S. Indoor Nationals, 2009 U.S Championships, and successfully competed overseas in the 400 meter run on a global level. “Without a doubt, I know my efforts can impact my clients for the rest of their lives and sustain their legacy. More than ever, I am fueled to serve.”
Nina is a proud mother to her two children- Ramiah Leigh and William Carter. She enjoys church and remains heavily embedded in USA Track and Field and in the community, graduating from Leadership Southwest’s 2020 Best Class and serving on the finance committee of The Junior League of Dallas.
