With a rapidly expanding residential and business base, this area is a hot spot for economic development.

The Best-Southwest offers a topographical paradise of beautiful hillsides, lush natural landscapes, and Lake Joe Pool.  We like to call our area The Dallas Hill Country.  There’s nothing like it in all the metroplex.

the Taste of DeSoto: Sweet & Savory returns for its third year with plans for a bigger and sweeter event. The Taste will be Thursday, September 28th between 4 to 8 pm at the DeSoto Civic Center.


Sweet and Savory: A Celebration of Dining South of the Trinity is an annual event to promote local businesses and to encourage residents of DeSoto and surrounding communities in the Best Southwest to Live, Eat and Shop Local! The event will provide an opportunity for restaurants, food trucks, and caterers to offer samples of signature dishes. It will also feature family-friendly entertainment, live music performances and an array of retailers and service providers located in and around the southern Dallas County.

Thank you for your participation in the DeSoto ISD Back to School Fair. As a table sponsor, your donation of $100.00 will provide 20 students with essential school supplies. You are welcome to bring promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, etc. to issue to attendees at our Community Resource Fair.  To show our appreciation for your commitment, your company name will be included on all printed material as a contributor.

Checks or money orders can be made out to DeSoto ISD Back to School Fair and are due no later than July 24, 2017. Vendor table donations after July 24, 2017 will be $150.00

With over 400+ in attendance last year, we expect more families, entertainers, food and fun than ever before! Early bird registration will begin August 1st with booth fees starting at just $125 for food vendors and $150 for non-food vendors until September 15th. Booth prices will be slightly higher starting September 18th subject to availability. All food vendors will be required to get a $25 food permit from the City of DeSoto 2 weeks prior to the event.
